Corrugated stainless steel is available in the form of sheets with a convex geometric pattern. The element of this drawing — the riffle — can have the shape of a lentil or a rhombus. Riffles in the form of lentils can be arranged evenly over the entire surface of the sheet at an angle of 90 degrees to each other or form groups of two or more parallel elements, also arranged perpendicular to each other. Rhombic corrugation forms a grid pattern on the surface of the sheet.
Corrugated stainless steel has all the outstanding properties of this type of materials:
- high strength and durability;
- resistant to moisture and aggressive environments;
- resistance to high temperatures and temperature changes;
- processability, i.e. the ability to be subjected to different types of processing;
- aesthetics.
All these properties, coupled with the external attractiveness of corrugated stainless steel, make it an indispensable material not only in industry and construction, but also in design. It is widely used for interior and exterior decoration of buildings, structures, cars, ships, railway wagons. Fountains, sculptures, fences are made of it, compositions are created in the Art Nouveau and high-tech style, used for finishing furniture, lighting fixtures and other household items.
