Stainless steel clamp: features and applications
This type of fastener has several types and is used everywhere. Clamps are put on pipes and serve to fix them, as well as to increase the sealing of connections and grounding of the system. Sealing and grounding are possible thanks to the rubber gasket between the clamp and the pipe surface. It also protects the connection from wear and dampens noise from vibration.
ALFA-STAR company offers clamps of two most common types - screw and pipe. The screw ones consist of a steel band with teeth, screws and a lock. They are used:
for fixing pipes subjected to vibration;
for fixing and sealing the connection of elastic pipes and hoses.
Pipe clamps consist of semicircular plates with brackets tightened by bolts. They attach a section of pipe to a wall or other surface to prevent displacement and reduce internal stress, for example, during construction and repair. They are widely used in water supply, sewerage, and heating systems.
Our clamps are made of A2 (AISI 304) and A4 (AISI 316) stainless steel. They are resistant to mechanical loads, including shock and vibration, and have good thermal insulation properties. The environmental friendliness of the material allows the use of stainless clamps in the food industry, greenhouses, ventilation systems, plumbing installation.
Both types of clamps are available in a wide range of standard sizes. The price of the product depends on the type of fastener, size, steel grade.
